Catherine Atzen, our product developer is highly sensitive to fragrances and finds the strong scents/fragrances to be a complete turnoff; “They make me sneeze; and they smell so ‘fake’," Catherine said.
Bold fragrances are common in most commercial products and can cause allergies, sensitivities, sinus irritation, and skin rashes or redness. In more serious cases, they can even break capillaries. In short, they are not good for you. Many manufacturers use strong fragrances to mask the unpleasant odor of inexpensive petrochemical-based ingredients in mass-market products as well as in prestige and professional products because they are inexpensive to manufacture and easy for chemists to formulate.
