Caring for Your Skin in Menopause

Menopause can bring with it some noticeable changes to your skin. As hormone levels plummet, your skin can become dry, thin, and loose. You may also notice more hair on your face. With the right skin care regimen, you can lessen these effects. You want products that contain no hormone disruptors, no parabens, no petrochemicals, and no carcinogens.

In menopause, skin loses some ability to hold water, so skin can get quite dry. This can be especially noticeable when the air is dry.

What you can do: The following can help combat dry skin:

  • Wash with a mild cleanser instead of soap. Especially for mature skin, soap can be too drying. Our Cleansing Milk is a mild cleanser with Decyl Glucoside and will keep your skin from feeling dry.
  • Apply toner after you cleanse your face. The toner is very important in that it restores the skin's natural pH after the skin comes in contact with water. Our Hydrating Toner is designed exactly for this purpose. The toner further preps the skin for the serum and moisturizer thereby maximizing the effectiveness of those products.
  • Apply moisturizer after bathing and throughout the day when your skin feels dry. A moisturizer with hyaluronic acid or glycerin can be especially helpful. We have two moisturizers for the face -- Protective Day Cream for day time use and Night Recovery Cream for nighttime rejuvenation. We have one moisturizer for the eyes and lips -- Soothing Eye Lip and Gel.
  • Use a high end serum daily such as our flagship product and winner of the best serum award for 2019 DNA Repair Serum.
